In view of the ongoing administrative arrangements in Himachal Pradesh, Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla has reportedly sought a formal reply from the Chief Secretary Sanjay Gupta on the legality and propriety of appointing acting officers. If the explanation from the Chief Secretary fails to satisfy Raj Bhavan, the issue could evolve into even judicial examination.
