Eligibility for CDS appointment

As per the 2022 directive, any four-star and three-star officer (either serving or retired) are eligible to be appointed CDS. In my view, two officers are the most likely: (1). Gen. Upendra Dwivedi (Army) (2). Adm. Dinesh Tripathi (Navy). I don't think any IAF officer would presently be favored for CDS.
