NMDC organises Contractors and Service Providers Meet at Donimalai (UPDATED)

NMDC organised a Contractors cum Service Providers Meet on January 10, 2026 at Donimalai, bringing together contractors, service providers, and senior officials for an open and meaningful discussion on the tendering process and day-to-day operational issues. The meet was held under the guidance of S B Singh, Executive Director, whose encouragement played a key role in turning the idea into a successful and interactive programme. The objective was to create a common platform to share experiences, address practical challenges, and improve coordination during tender submission and execution of works and services. Senior officials, including A K Mishra, CGM (Works), D Hansdah, CGM (Production), along with Heads of Departments and executives, were present at the event. Members of the Contractors Association also participated in large numbers, contributing actively to the discussions. The programme began with a ceremonial lamp lighting, followed by a welcome address by Rajasekhar N, HoD (Contracts), who highlighted the importance of better coordination and timely execution of works. Presentations and open discussions on tender-related matters allowed contractors to share their concerns and suggestions, which were addressed by the NMDC team during the session. Appreciating the efforts of the Contracts Department, S B Singh expressed hope that such interactions would help build stronger working relationships and lead to smoother project execution. The meet concluded on a positive note, with both sides welcoming more such engagements in the future.
