whispers in the corridors
Gliders India Limited (GIL), a Defence Public Sector Enterprise under Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, has secured a 30 crore export order from Vietnam for the supply of SU-30 Brake Parachutes (BP) and Pilot Parachutes (PP), which are critical safety components for fighter aircraft. The export order reflects the growing global acceptance of Indian defence products and GIL’s proven capability in the design, manufacture and supply of mission-critical aerospace systems in compliance with stringent international quality and safety standards.
The achievement further establishes GIL as a specialised aerospace manufacturing entity with expanding global reach. The export is in consonance with the Government of India’s initiatives of “Make in India” and “Atmanirbhar Bharat”, and contributes to the national objective of enhancing defence exports. The milestone augments India’s defence export earnings and strengthens the foundation for future international collaborations.
