POWERGRID scales new heights as Gross Fixed Assets surpass ₹3 trillion mark (UPDATED)

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a ‘Maharatna’ CPSE under Ministry of Power, Govt. of India, has announced unaudited financial results for quarter and nine months ended 31st December 2025.  For Q3FY26, on standalone basis company has reported PAT of ₹ 4,160 crore and Total Income of ₹12,436 crore registering a YoY growth of 7% and 7% respectively. On consolidated basis, company has reported PAT of ₹ 4,185 crore and Total Income of ₹12,599 crore registering a YoY growth of 8% and 7% respectively.

For nine months ended 31st December 2025, on standalone basis, company posted PAT and Total Income of ₹11,368 crore and ₹ 35,041 crore respectively. On consolidated basis, company posted PAT and Total Income of ₹ 11,382 crore and ₹ 35,714 crore respectively.

POWERGRID’s Board of Directors has declared 2nd interim dividend of ₹ 3.25 per equity share of ₹10/- each (@ 32.50% of the paid-up equity share capital). This is in addition to 1st interim dividend ₹4.50 per equity share for the FY 2025-26. The interim dividend for the year thus amounts to ₹7.75 per equity share of ₹ 10/- each.

The Company incurred a Capital Expenditure of ₹ 26,761 crore and capitalized assets worth ₹ 12,915 crore (excluding FERV but including assets capitalised as Finance Lease) on consolidated basis till 9MFY26. POWERGRID’s Gross Fixed Assets (including Gross Lease Receivables) on consolidated basis stood at ₹ 3,04,336 crore as on December 31, 2025, surpassing the ₹3 trillion milestone for the first time.

As at the end of January 2026, POWERGRID had Works in Hand of ~ ₹1,45,500 Cr.

During the quarter, POWERGRID secured its first Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project at Kalikiri, Andhra Pradesh, under the Build-Own-Operate (BOO) Model through the TBCB route.

As on January 29, 2026, the total transmission assets of POWERGRID and its subsidiaries stood at 1,83,174 ckm of transmission lines, 287 substations and 5,99,016 MVA of transformation capacity. POWERGRID maintained average transmission system availability of 99.84% during nine-month FY26.

Towards POWERGRID’s commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship, POWERGRID achieved 50% power consumption from renewable sources. Further strengthening its environmental initiatives, the Company commissioned Asia’s first 315 MVA, 400/220 kV synthetic ester oil filled transformer at HVDC Bhiwadi Substation.
