HURL: 310 pre-identified beneficiaries provided 1,424 assistive devices (UPDATED)

HURL strengthened its commitment to inclusive and compassionate development through the distribution of Aids & Assistive Devices under its CSR project “SWASTHYA SATHI” at the Composite Regional Centre Gorakhpur.

The occasion was graced by the Member of Parliament, Gorakhpur, Ravi Kishan, and the Managing Director of Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited, Dr. Siba Prasad Mohanty, whose presence added significance to the programme.

Under this initiative, 310 pre-identified beneficiaries were provided 1,424 assistive devices in collaboration with Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO), Kanpur, and CRC Gorakhpur. The devices included motorized tricycles, advanced wheelchairs, hearing aids, walkers, crutches, walking sticks, knee braces, LS belts, cervical collars, and other supportive equipment, each aimed at enhancing mobility, dignity, and independence.

Addressing the gathering, the MP highlighted that such support empowers persons with disabilities to lead self-reliant lives and pursue livelihood opportunities. Dr. Siba Prasad Mohanty reiterated HURL’s unwavering commitment to social responsibility, emphasizing that the organization continues to undertake meaningful CSR initiatives across its operational areas to create lasting community impact.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from beneficiaries and their attendants, reflecting HURL’s enduring resolve to uplift lives and build a more inclusive society.
