Survey of Six Railway Lines & High-Speed Corridors In AP

Proposals were submitted to the Railway Board for final location surveys of six new railway lines and high-speed rail corridors in Andhra Pradesh, focusing on improved regional connectivity. Key proposed lines include Hyderabad to Markapuram via Srisailam (290 km) for pilgrimage routes, Macherla–Gadwal (184 km), Nellore–Rajampet (120 km), Samarlakota–Chinturu (150 km), and Kalyandurg–Anantapur (58 km). These developments aim to boost economic integration and freight movement in southern India.
