Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, Chairman and Managing Director, NLC India Limited (NLCIL), has been conferred the prestigious “Pride of Telangana” Award at the 4th Telangana Public Relations Conference & National Public Relations Day Celebrations, organised by the Public Relations Society of India (PRSI), Hyderabad Chapter, at Hyderabad on April 19.

The award was presented by K Sreenivas Reddy, Chairman, Media Academy of Telangana; Mrs  Priyanka, IAS, Special Commissioner, Information & Public Relations Department, Government of Telangana; Prof. K. Nageswar, noted academician and former MLC, in the presence of distinguished dignitaries.

A native of Bhadrachalam, Telangana, Motupalli expressed happiness on receiving the honour in his home State. The award recognises his exemplary leadership, outstanding contributions to the energy sector, and relentless efforts in steering NLC India Limited towards greater heights of operational excellence, sustainability, innovation, and nation-building.

Under the dynamic leadership of Motupalli, NLC India Limited has achieved remarkable milestones in lignite mining, thermal power generation, renewable energy expansion, and corporate governance. NLC India is presently supplying about 400 MW of power to the two Telugu States, contributing significantly to regional energy security and economic growth.

The company has also made notable progress in diversification, capacity expansion, digital transformation, and implementation of people-centric welfare initiatives for employees and surrounding communities.
