Three Officer Panel for WB CEO
The Suvendu Adhikari-led West Bengal government has forwarded a panel of three senior IAS officers to the Election Commission of India (ECI) for appointment as the new Chief Electoral Officer (CEO). The panel includes: Neelam Meena (1998), Tanmay Chakrabarty (2006), Moumita Godara Basu (2007). The vacancy arose after Manoj Kumar Agarwal (1990 batch IAS), who served as CEO during the recent polls and the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls, was appointed Chief Secretary of the state on May 11, 2026.
