Eleven IPS officers have been entrusted with new responsibilities in Punjab. Anita Punj has been appointed as Special DGP, HRD & Welfare, Chandigarh, while Pradeep Kumar Yadav will join as IGP Technical Services, Chandigarh and Dhanpreet Kaur is now Director, MRS PPA, Phillaur. Similarly, Satinder Singh was posted as Commissioner of Police (CP), Jalandhar; Vivek Sheel Soni as DIG, Border Range, Amritsar; Surinderjit Singh as DIG Prisons; Kanwaldeep Singh as DIG, Law & Order, Chandigarh; Sandeep Kumar Sharma as DIG, PAP-II, Jalandhar; Sandeep Goel as DIG, Ludhiana Ranger, Suhail Qasim Mir as AIG Personnel-I, Chandigarh and Pragya Jain was shifted as AIG Law & Order, Chandigarh.
