87 Grievances Received at GVMC’s Public Grievance Redressal System (UPDATED)

Visakhapatnam: Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) received 87 petitions and complaints during the Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS) programme held at the GVMC Headquarters on Monday. The programme was conducted by GVMC Commissioner Ketan Garg along with Additional Commissioners D.V. Ramanamurthy and P. Nallanayya.

The grievances were received from various GVMC zones, with the highest number of complaints registered at the Head Office. Department-wise, most complaints related to Town Planning, followed by Engineering, Revenue, Public Health and other civic departments.

Addressing officials, Commissioner Ketan Garg directed department heads and zonal officers to examine the petitions immediately, contact complainants without delay and resolve issues within the stipulated timeframe. He stressed the need for prompt action to prevent citizens from repeatedly submitting the same grievances.

The Commissioner also informed citizens that complaints can be lodged every Monday through the PGRS programme at GVMC offices.
