PMRC Scheme to Attract Global Indian-origin Talent
The PMRC (Prime Minister Research Chair) Scheme is a flagship initiative launched by the Ministry of Education to attract global Indian-origin talent (researchers, scientists, and professionals) back to India, offering competitive salaries, research grants, and placements in top HEIs, national labs, and institutions across 13 priority sectors like AI, quantum computing, clean energy, and biotech, with applications open from early June 2026.
