Yogi Adityanath Warns Govt Staff Against ‘Reel-Making’ During Duty

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath issued a stern warning to government employees against creating social media “reels” during working hours, emphasizing discipline and professionalism in public service. The remark came as the Chief Minister distributed appointment letters to newly recruited government personnel at a formal event.

Adityanath underscored that government service is a responsibility toward citizens and should not be trivialized for online visibility. He said employees must focus on delivering efficient governance rather than engaging in activities that could compromise the dignity of their roles.

The Chief Minister’s comments follow a growing trend of government staff posting short-form videos from offices, often during duty hours, which has drawn criticism over misuse of time and resources. He cautioned that such practices could invite strict action if found affecting administrative functioning.

Reiterating his government’s focus on accountability, Adityanath urged new recruits to uphold integrity, maintain work ethics, and prioritize public service delivery. The state government has recently accelerated recruitment drives, aiming to fill vacancies across departments while reinforcing discipline within the administrative machinery.
