As many as seven IAS officers have been given new assignments in Tamil Nadu. Accordingly, Ms Apoorva has been appointed as Principal Secretary, Higher Education Department while Mangat Ram Sharma is new Commissioner of Archives and Historical Research and M S  Shanmugam was made Commissioner of Museums. Similarly, T Udhayachandran D Ravichandran as Managing Director, Tamil Nadu FibreNet Corporation Limited; S Aneesh Sekhar as Executive Director of GUIDANCE Bureau; Karthikeyan as Executive Director, TIDCO and D Manikandan was posted as Joint Secretary, Home, Prohibition and Excise Department.
