In a major reshuffle, as many as 24 IAS officers have been shifted and handed over a new charge in West Bengal.  Accordingly, Atri Bhattacharya has been appointed Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Sundarban Affairs Department, while Hirdyesh Mohan takes charge as ACS, Housing Department and Mrs Nandini Chakraborty was made Principal Secretary (PS), Non-Conventional and Renewal Energy Sources Department with an additional charge of PS, Mass Education Extension and Library Services Department. Similarly, Mrs Choten Dhendup Lama will be posted as Secretary, Tribal Development Department; Bijin Krishna as District Magistrate, Dakshin Dinajpur; Dr A Subbiah as PS, Agriculture Marketing with additional charge of Commissioner Medinipur Division; Khalil Ahmed as PS, Urban Development & Municipal Affairs Department with additional charge of CEO, KMDA;  Mrs Ayesha Rani A as District Magistrate, Paschim Medinipur; Rajarshi Mitra as District Magistrate, Murshidabad; Nitin Singhania as District Magistrate, Malda; Sanjay Bansal as Secretary Backward Classes Welfare Department with additional charge of Secretary Programme Monitoring; Mrs Antara Acharyaas Secretary, Public Works Department; Avanindra Singh as Secretary, Fisheries Department; Dr Rashmi Kamal as Director, Land Records and Survey; Saumitra Mohan as Secretary, Tourism; P Ulganathan as Secretary, P&RD Department with additional charge of Secretary, Co-operation Department; Rajat Nanda as District Magistrate, Purulia; Sharad Kumar Dwivedi as District Magistrate, North 24 Parganas; Mrs Joyoshi Dasgupta as Special Secretary, ARD Department and Sumit Gupta takes over as District Magistrate, South 24 Parganas. Besides, Manoj Pant was appointed as Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Department with additional charge of Department of Planning & Statistics and Officer on Special Duty and Ex-officio Additional Chief Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat, New Delhi on promotion to the Apex Scale of IAS.
