4700 CSS officers promoted from ASO to Director level after six years (UPDATED)
As many as 4700 officers of Central Secretariat Service (CSS), who were deprived of promotion for six years, have been granted promotion from ASO-SO to Director level in Government of India. Accordingly, as many as 1850 officers have been promoted from ASO to SO for the year; 1400 officers from Section Officer to Under Secretary for the year 2015; 1150 officers from Under Secretary to Deputy Secretary for the year 2013 and 350 officers were promoted from Deputy Secretary to Director for the year 2018.
