CAPFs major cadre-review development

The long-pending Group-A cadre review of BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP and SSB has reportedly cleared the Home and Personal ministries and is expected to go before a high-level government committee. The exercise could affect roughly 13,000 Group-A cadre officers, with the objective of improving promotional avenues, restructuring posts and addressing long-standing stagnation. The proposal is understood to have moved towards the final governmental approval stage.
