IIAS President Srinivas urges human-centric AI and stronger global networks
International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS) President Voruganti Srinivas has called for a stronger global public administration network focused on ethical leadership, human-centric artificial intelligence (AI), digital transformation and closer collaboration between academics and practitioners.
Addressing the IASIA Board of Management on the sidelines of the IASIA 2026 Conference in Athens, Greece, Srinivas outlined a strategic roadmap for strengthening public administration education, research and institutional capacity ahead of the IIAS centenary in 2030.
Emphasising the need to balance technological progress with human values, he said AI and technology must remain grounded in humanity and serve life, peace and the common good. He called for greater attention to responsible and ethical AI, AI regulation, digital inclusion and skill development for civil servants.
The IASIA 2026 Conference, themed “Rethinking Governance for a Changing World,” is expected to contribute to discussions on the future of public administration education, institutional reform and international cooperation.
