India dispatches third relief flight as Nepal clarifies stance on foreign aid

India has dispatched its third military aircraft carrying humanitarian aid from New Delhi to Kathmandu following devastating flash floods along the Nepal-Tibet border. The latest consignment carries approximately 13 tonnes of critical supplies, including portable generators, water purification tablets, food, and medicines. This brings India's total aid contribution to roughly 60 tonnes.

The arrival of the third flight comes alongside reports that Nepal has turned down international assistance. However, official sources clarify that Kathmandu has not rejected material aid or emergency funding. Instead, the Nepalese government specifically declined foreign search-and-rescue teams, including an offer from India to deploy its National Disaster Response Force (NDRF).
