NMDC Organises Capacity Building Programme

Hyderabad: The Vigilance Department of NMDC Limited organised a two-day Capacity Building Programme on October 7 and 8, focusing on key areas identified by the Central Vigilance Commission under Vigilance Awareness Week 2026.

The programme featured sessions on Ethos in Public Procurement, GeM – New Features & Functionalities, Contract Design for Effective Procurement, and Cyber Security & Cyber Hygiene. The sessions aimed to strengthen professional competence, ethical decision-making, transparency and efficiency in organisational processes.

The inaugural session was attended by Krishna Kumar Thakur, Director (Personnel), NMDC, and C. Neelakanta Reddy, CVO, NMDC. The programme concluded in the presence of Vivek Nishant Nath, Director (Commercial), NMDC, and C. Neelakanta Reddy, who stressed continuous capacity building, ethical conduct and effective preventive vigilance measures.

Sanjay Aggarwal, IRSS, PCMM, RCF–Kapurthala, spoke on ethical procurement, while Anuj Kumar, Director (GeM), highlighted new features and best practices on the Government e-Marketplace.

On the second day, Ankur Shrivastava, Controller, NRSC, discussed effective contract design and shared case studies. Mrs. K. Indraveni, Scientist-F and Associate Director, C-DAC, addressed cyber threats and the importance of cyber hygiene.

Executives from the NMDC Head Office and various projects participated in the programme.
