RITES Ltd re-appoints Rahul Mithal as CMD & CEO

Rahul Mithal has been re-appointed as Chairman & Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of RITES Limited with effect from October 7, 2026 until his superannuation on June 30, 2027. Mithal is from the Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers (SCRA 1985 Batch). He holds the additional qualification of MBA (Finance) and is a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (UK) and a Chartered Engineer, registered with the Engineering Council (UK). He was the Functional Director on the Board of Container Corporation of India Limited and in-charge of the Projects & Services wing. He has had a long stint of more than 20 years holding various key positions in the Indian Railways.
