WCL Launches Vigilance Awareness Week 2026

Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) inaugurated Vigilance Awareness Week 2026 today, on 26 October 26, with Dr. Hemant Sharad Pande, CMD, WCL, administering the Vigilance Awareness Pledge to officers and employees. Bikram Ghosh, Director (Finance & HR); Dr. Anjani Kumar, Director Technical (Projects & Planning) and Ajay Madhukar Mhetre, Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO), were present on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, CMD Dr. Pande called upon all staff to contribute to the nation's prosperity by making integrity, honesty and ethical values the foundation of their work. He emphasized the importance of remaining vigilant at all times in the workplace and discharging every responsibility with a positive outlook, transparency and accountability.

CVO Ajay Madhukar Mhetre appreciated WCL's digital initiatives aimed at enhancing transparency and efficiency in its operations. He stated that the various digital portals developed by the Company had reduced manual intervention in official processes while promoting transparency and accountability.

Vigilance Awareness Week 2026 is being observed under the theme “Probity for Prosperity.” A series of programmes and activities are being organised at WCL Headquarters and across its various areas to sensitise officers and employees to the importance of vigilance, ethics, transparency and accountability.
