whispers in the corridors
REC Limited, a Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise and a leading NBFC under the Ministry of Power, organized a blood donation camp on the occasion of World Blood Donor Day, in collaboration with Lions Blood Centre — a charitable blood bank committed to saving lives. International kickboxer Sudhir Saxena graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from REC employees, and Saxena’s presence inspired donors by emphasizing the importance of fitness, discipline, and social responsibility in building a healthier and more compassionate society. Demonstrating his personal commitment to the cause, Jitendra Srivastava, CMD, REC Limited, led by example by donating blood during the camp. Speaking on the occasion, he said, “Voluntary blood donation is a noble act that can make a life-saving difference. At REC, we believe in promoting a culture of compassion and collective responsibility. This camp reflects our ongoing commitment to the health and welfare of the community.” The initiative underscores REC's dedication to social responsibility and community welfare. Employees of REC enthusiastically participated in the camp, reaffirming the organization’s commitment to humanitarian causes and the importance of voluntary blood donation. This effort highlights the power of collective action in addressing critical healthcare needs and supports the global message of World Blood Donor Day — “Give blood, give plasma, share life, share often.”
