IPS officers have been given new responsibilities in Tripura. Krishnendu Chakravarty has been appointed IGP (Intelligence & Security) with additional charge of SP (Special Branch), Agartala,while Sanjoy Roy has been made DIG (Crime), and Prabir Majumder, DIG (Headquarters), will also handle DIGP, Training. Similarly, Dilip Ray, Commandant, CIAT Kachucherra has been directed to report to the Manipur government, replacing retired officer Subrata Chakraborty; Timir Das was posted as Commandant of West Tripura Home Guard Battalion; Kallol Roy as SP (MTF) with additional charge of STF; Sudip Kumar Pal as AIGP (Estt.), Agartala; Bikash Deb as SP, SCRB; Ranadhir Debbarma as AIGP, Law & Order; Shyamanda Sharma as SP, Anti-Narcotics; Jeremia Darong as SP, Vigilance and Rahul Bahalara takes over as SDPO, Dhalai.
