Five 2008 batch IPS officers of the Kerala cadre have been promoted to the rank of Inspector General of Police (IGP). The officers promoted to the IGP grade include: Putta Vimaladitya, S Ajeetha Begum, R Nishanthini, S Sateesh Bino and Rahul R Nair. On promotion, Putta Vimaladitya has been posted as IGP, Internal Security, with additional charge of Deputy Inspector General of Police, Anti-Terrorist Squad. S Ajeetha Begum has been posted as IGP, Economic Offences Wing, Thiruvananthapuram, and will also hold additional charge of IGP, Crimes I, Thiruvananthapuram, and the Social Policing Directorate. R Nishanthini has been posted as IGP, Headquarters, while S Sateesh Bino has been posted as IGP, Armed Police Battalions.
