Partnerships Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited (HURL) today signed two significant Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) reinforcing its commitment to community well-being through healthcare access expansion and innovation-led education. Project “AAROGYA MITRA” – Strengthening Rural Healthcare In the presence of Dr S P Mohanty, Managing Director, HURL, and representatives of Manav Vikas Sanstha (MVS), India, HURL signed an MoU to implement Project “AAROGYA MITRA”, a flagship CSR initiative aimed at strengthening healthcare access in rural and underserved regions. Under the project, AI-enabled Health ATM Machines will be installed at selected PHCs, CHCs, and Government Hospitals across Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh), Barauni (Bihar), and Sindri (Jharkhand). These digital diagnostic platforms will enable instant health check-ups, creation of digital health records, and early detection of health conditions, benefiting over 76,000 people annually, free of cost. Through AAROGYA MITRA, HURL reaffirms its commitment to building resilient public health infrastructure, promoting preventive healthcare, and improving community health outcomes. Project “PRAYAS” – Empowering Young Minds through Innovation-Led Education In a separate MoU signed in the presence of Dr. S. P. Mohanty, Managing Director, HURL, and representatives of EdCIL India Limited, HURL launched Project “PRAYAS (Pragatisheel Yug Aadhunik Shiksha)”, a forward-looking CSR initiative focused on strengthening modern learning infrastructure in government schools. The project will establish ATAL Tinkering Labs, Virtual Reality Labs, and Solar Powered Smart Classrooms across 9 government schools in Gorakhpur, Sindri (Dhanbad), and Barauni (Begusarai). These technology-enabled learning spaces will foster STEM education, creativity, critical thinking, and experiential learning, ensuring inclusive access to innovation for students and teachers. Through PRAYAS, HURL reiterates its commitment to education-led empowerment, sustainability, and nation-building—nurturing future-ready learners and responsible citizens. Together, these initiatives reflect HURL’s holistic CSR vision of healthy communities and empowered generations.
