India’s Envoys Focused On Energy Security, Diaspora Welfare

The diplomatic machinery is in a holding pattern ahead of the bigger 2026 reshuffle. With global oil volatility and West Asia tensions dominating headlines, India’s envoys in key capitals are quietly focused on energy security, diaspora welfare, and positioning India as a reliable partner. The absence of last-minute postings in the past three working days suggests a deliberate pause before the major wave expected later this year — one that will likely elevate the 1992–94 cohort and further embed economic diplomacy at the heart of every mission.

NIT Trichy (Tiruchirappalli) –has announced openings for Assistant Professor posts. There are 86 vacancies at the entry level (Assistant Professor Grade-II). The online application portal opened on 6 March 2026, and the last date to apply is 6 April 2026 (till 5:30 PM). There are also some posts for higher levels like Associate Professor and Professor, making the total vacancies around 122.

NIT Agartala - has a special recruitment drive for Professor and Associate Professor positions. There are 32 vacancies in total (about 10 for Professor and 22 for Associate Professor) in different departments. This advertisement came out in February 2026, and the process is still open. These are ongoing (rolling) processes. In the last three working days (16–18 March 2026), no new selections or new teachers joining were reported. People are still applying, and final selections will happen later.
