Process to appoint new CDS starts !
The process to appoint new Chief of Defence Staff has started. The appointee would have to be an all-rounder, and not just a regional expert. This post is eligible for any four-star and three-star officer under the age of 62 (both serving and retired), the MOD will have a wide pool of candidates to consider but any future CDS-appointee may be scrutinized by the NSC.
