CJI declines to meet opposition leaders

(WE SAID THIS ON SUNDAY)

Will CJI meet opposition leaders?

After the opposition parties led protest against alleged irregularities in Special Intensive Revision (SIR) and removal of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gynaesh Kumar on Sunday, the corridors of power are abuzz with rumours that an opposition party delegation has sought an appointment with the Chief Justice of India (CJI), Justice Surya Kant on Monday, October 12, 2026. It is to be seen whether the CJI will entertain the opposition delegation and agree for a meeting or ask them to meet in SC?
