Ateesh Kumar Singh, who is presently serving as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises on deputation, has been appointed on deputation as Additional Secretary in the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, for a combined tenure of seven years. He is an Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) officer.
